Encouraging Word Ministries
December 2008
A Message of The Promise
Encouraging Word Ministries' Special Holiday Edition
Greetings Everyone,

For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.  Luke 2:11 (NKJV)
Long ago before the foundations of the Earth, our Father in Heaven
knew that you would be a gift to others.

At this time of year, Christmas, we are often times pressured
by the media and others to buy presents for one another.

We buy things that we don't like, we receive things
that we don't  like or need, even.
This can at times place us at a disadvantage too.
In that, we spend and spend, and spin, and spin ourselves into agony.

If you're still paying for last year's Christmas...think again this year.

What are we representing when we give gifts to one another each year?
Are they gifts that keep on giving, like the Christ child filled with love, peace and joy?

Or, are they gifts that are being used as coverups
for what we haven't done all year long for one another?

Everyone likes to receive gifts at some point.
But what type of gift do you really want more than a
nything this Christmas Season?

Is it the gift of love?  The gift of charity?  The gift of patience?
The gift of forgiveness?  The gift of laughter?  The gift of peace?
The gift of radiant health?  The gift of a closer relationship with Jesus?
With your family members?  With your wife or husband?
Do you have a wife or husband?  Do you want a spouse?
Do you have children?  Do you want children even?

I believe we can have all of those gifts if we believe
(Read: Matthew 21:22)
and, if we put ourselves in alignment with the Promises of God
by becoming more Christlike.

Know that whatever you have need of this Christmas season and
beyond that He will supply your need. (Read Philippian 4:19).

Encouraging Word Ministries, wants to bring a message to you of the
promise that is a gift for all to have, a gift of pure love, mercy and grace...
a babe wrapped in swaddling clothes.

The sharing of the Christ(mas) Story with you gives me great joy.
It's something that we can never tire of.
He who is the great I am, is in everyone's
life as a gift of pure love not just at this time of year,
but each and every day.

Jesus is the ultimate gift, whom God Almighty gave to us...freely.

Of course, we know that the Wise Men brought gifts to Jesus
when he was a small boy.

But could they have been gifts from God through the Wise Men to
signify His royal priesthood to us?

I believe this is something to ponder.

Many of my friends had new births in their families this year.
It appears to me that even with the expansion of the
family budget that the families'
joy has increased with the addition of new life.

Perhaps you didn't have a birth directly in your family,
maybe someone adopted a child or a relative or friend
made a huge and positive life change.

This is new life too and apart of the Promise!
The gift of new life is a gift of relationship with God.
And each birth, and rebirth is a gift of His love and promises to all.

If you haven't accepted Christ as your personal Lord and Savior,
I believe that the opportunity is here for you now.
Won't you ask Him to come into your heart and
make Him your Promise for new life today?

In 2009, it may be too late.
But, today is the day, that the Lord has made,
we shall rejoice and be glad in it!

I am so glad that I am here today to celebrate 6 full years
(and counting) of radiant health with you at this Christmas Season.

Six years ago, I was about to be put on life support again
because of conditions within my heart,
its been a long journey, but He already knew I'd make it.

With God all things are possible.
I am thankful for the gift and promise of His life
that is within me, everyday.

We don't know the hour or the minute.
There is no time like the present, that's why it's a gift!
Therefore I celebrate the Promise with You today and beyond.

Please let me  join you in celebrating your Promise, too.  His Peace surpasses all understanding.  His love has no boundaries.
His promises never fail.
I believe in His Promises.  Read the Word for yourself.
There's a message for you today.

I humbly urge you to give the Promise
of new life and love to yourself, by encouraging you to
believe in the Promises of God.

Rejoice in the wonders of this blessed time, and turn your cares
over to the One who truly cares for you in all ways and always.

Our Message To You Today is To Be Whom He
Made You To Be, Love.

That is Who You Are, in Him, by Him,
for His Glory, which is the
Promise that He is love and so are You!

Believe it for it is so!

Love and encourage someone today, including yourself!

Never forget that Jesus Is Always the Reason for the Season!!!

Merry Christmas to One and All, and may you find the
Promise in your life today and beyond...share the gift of the
Promise with another, I just did.

Blessings,
--Nellie Anita!

"Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God."
- Matthew 5:3-9
